streetlightThe ruling Conservative administration agreed proposals that would see 44,000 lights switched off between midnight and 5am.Residents of Tandridge are rightly worried about safety as the lights go out across the district.

Cllr David Lee says is Whyteleafe says “nearly every road will be affected. Only major routes are protected. Surrey spent millions upgrading streetlights to be more efficient, but have failed again in protecting residents.”

Cllr Caroline Warner of Westway says, " I'm particularly worried about anyone who is coming home alone from working night shifts. Personal stories (I'll keep them entirely confidential) will help us provide a response to this budget cutting exercise."
