113 days since Article 50 triggered and still no progress in Brexit talks
The EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has said there remains a "fundamental divergence" with the government over the rights of EU nationals in the UK, following talks this week.
It comes despite Theresa May claiming in February the government would get an early agreement on the issue.
Liberal Democrat Brexit Spokesperson Tom Brake commented:
"It's now been 113 days since Article 50 was triggered and we have seen almost zero progress on even the most basic issues.
"With each day that passes, the likelihood of a catastrophic, disorderly Brexit increases.
"The Conservative government must start to put the interests of the country ahead of its own ideological obsessions and internal squabbling.
"That should include giving the people the final say, so they have a chance to reject a disastrous Brexit and stay in the EU."
