Jenny Gaffney is currently the parish councillor for Caterham Valley and has been for nine years. She has lived in Catereham Valley for 24 years.
Professionally, Jenny is an Administrator. Jenny says, “I think my professional experience will help me as a councillor because I have to be organised and pay attention to detail which is important when reviewing and responding to documents.
"I have been a Parish Councillor for 9 years and have already have experience dealing with planning and local issues."
Jenny thinks one of the most important issues in Caterham Valley is protection of the character and green spaces and the local overdevelopment of residential areas and is committed to working with local people to find a solution. More widely, Jenny will be campaigning hard to defend the character of our towns and villages.
She says “I want to be a councillor because I have worked for nine years as a Parish Councillor and I hope to be able to do more for the local area as a District Councillor while also having the opportunity to have input into the wider area.
“I believe Local Lib Dem councilors work hard for their communities, getting things done and listening to local concerns and standing up for residents and the services they need.”
