In the next five years, Britain needs Liberal voices standing up for our place in Europe, for our civil liberties, for human rights and for an open, tolerant and united Britain.
We MUST keep our current parks and green spaces free, whether they are in the Green Belt or not. We urge TDC to remove them from consideration in the Local Plan.
Our Infrastructure cannot cope with the amount of new building we are seeing now, let alone in the future. We need to upgrade our ageing infrastructure first.
Cllr Chris Botten, Chairman Caterham on the Hill Parish Council writes:
Caterham on the Hill Parish Council will be holding a Public Meeting to discuss the Tandridge Local Plan. The meeting will take place at Hillcroft Primary School on Tuesday 6th December at 7.30pm.
Tandridge Council has extended the whole Local Plan process in order to do a separate consultation on the sites being put forward by landowners for development in order to meet housing need. Most of these sites in Warlingham were in the previous consultation, but they have now been subject to detailed analysis to see how well they meet Green Belt objectives and contribute to the landscape and ecology.
As with all of these things, the devil is in the detail.
I wholeheartedly support what Michael proposed regarding Tillingdown and spoke in support (I am not a member of this committee so am unable to vote). I later thanked him on behalf of the Valley for the proposal, and I would like to publicly thank the other councillors of all persuasion on their support.
