As with all of these things, the devil is in the detail.
I wholeheartedly support what Michael proposed regarding Tillingdown and spoke in support (I am not a member of this committee so am unable to vote). I later thanked him on behalf of the Valley for the proposal, and I would like to publicly thank the other councillors of all persuasion on their support.
There was also an amendment to the inclusion of Timberhill. This was "Timberhill to only be considered as part of the Caterham Masterplan." So whilst it will be removed from the current set of parks for building on, it may happen if the planning consultant employed by Tandridge make a recommendation as part of the Master Plan.
This worries me as to date information on what is included in the Master plan is thin on the ground. Following a conversation this morning with Tandridge I had it confirmed that development has not been ruled out on this site yet, as it will be subject to the Master Plan recommendations.
I will continue to fight to ensure that it is put out of the developers reach.
